Dr Zeuss
Why friend finder?
Making friends is a vital part of growing up for all children.
We know just how hard it is for kids with a disability to assimilate with society at large.
Although schools and organisations alike are becoming increasingly aware of inclusion and bullying, it still remains difficult for many to fit in and truly feel a sense of belonging.
Even though society is becoming good at understanding disability, it is still often lacking in opportunities to form true connections. It is an opportunity to make connections with someone like them. Someone that understands, someone that someone gets it. A chance to grow and a chance to make memories with one another. The gift of friendships is something that will always be valued. Everyone deserves this chance.
Carers can relate
It’s an opportunity for parents in similar situations to speak with someone else, either facing similar difficulties or have been through similar things before.
Be supported: An opportunity for you and your child to learn and grow.
